Lovecats Revisited?

A little treat for all you Cure fans. Some of their earlier recordings have been uncovered. Before he became pained and heartbroken, Robert Smith went surfing and sang like Brian Wilson. Or not... While the electric-shock-haired one has continued to style himself in the same manner as he did 30 odd years ago edging ever nearer to an elderly Elizabeth Taylor lookalike (no disrespect to her Dameness), children who grew up with classics such as Friday I'm In Love, Just Like Heaven and Boys Don't Cry are now old enough to produce Close To Me-era Cure music so that he no longer has to (see 2008's 13th Cure release, 4:13 Dream). Meet The Drums, who switched their Floridian beaches for NYC tarmac but gorged themselves on '80s Manchester sounds only to concoct tunes about surfing despite having never owned a surfboard. Oh the contradictions!...
